This Essence was made at Imbolc, or Candlemas, in the heart of the Scottish mountains. Imbolc is Brighid's festival, dedicated to the celebration of new life and growth at springtime. Brighid spans the ages, like a bridge between the light and wisdom of the ancient ones and the flow of a new spiritual energy of love and compassion that came into the world two thousand years ago with the arrival of Christ consciousness. As St Brigid, she lit the flame of love which is still kept alight today by the Brigidine Sisters in Kildare.
