Holy Islands

 This slideshow contains pictures taken by Julie, during her many pilgrimages to the islands of Iona, Scotland, and Lindisfarne, Holy Island, Northumberland.
​Here, she spends contemplative time in nature, writes poetry, draws and creates spiritual harp music, which she records live while on the seashore, or amongst the reeds and grasses in the hidden places of the islands.
All natural sounds such as the wind playing the harp strings, wild geese taking flight and the distant roaring of waves on the shore, were present at the time of playing my harp at these holy places. ​If you listen closely, you may even hear the rumbling sound of the Iona ferry leaving the pier... Enter this quiet space for a while. Listening with headphones will bring you even closer to the experience. Peace be with you.
