Imbolc Online Retreat

What is Spiritual Harp?

Julie Darling offers events, both online and in person, which use intuitive harp music and poetry as a pathway into deeper connection with our own individual spiritual nature.
Julie plays her harp to accompany poetry and ancient sources of Celtic inspiration, to help bring insight and spark creative responses in words or images.
Live harp events held in the heart of nature offer opportunities to deepen our relationship with the natural world as the face of the divine.
These events offer a 'generic' experience of working with nature as spirituality, with reference to legend and different spiritual traditions of the Celtic world.

Since ancient times, the harp has been regarded as a sacred instrument of healing. Modern research shows the science behind the power of vibration, and especially the way in which the musical vibrations of the harp are created.

We know, as our ancestors did, with their 'heart knowledge', that the harp has the power to touch us on many levels of our being. 'Spiritual Harp' music opens us to new ways of seeing ourselves and our world, and can help us to effect real change, on a deep level, in all areas of our lives.

Julie Darling's work follows the traditions of the Celtic bards, who saw their purpose to produce music which acts as a bridge between the inner and outer worlds. Her current approach is the result of nearly thirty years of spiritual practice with harp music in the natural world, and draws on ancient teachings, prayers and blessings of the Celtic world, as well as other wisdom teachings from around the world. Her intention is  to create a deep experience of meditation, and connection to 'the Source' or God, The Beloved, The Great Mystery.

Her work is a combination of intuitive skill and technical understanding, creating harp music with the sacred intent to produce music which has the power to open the heart. The open door invites us in, with music of compassion and love. Held by grace, we can seek beyond the confines of our normal thought processes and glimpse new possibilities, new ways of being in the world.

Groups and individual clients receive personal music, and vibrational essences, which are uniquely attuned to supporting the process of  spiritual healing.
