Mystics and Music

A day of retreat and inspiration with Celtic harp, cello and flute.
The day will be a mosaic of cello, flute, Celtic harp, ancient song and silence, using themes based on the lives and wisdom of Hildegard of Bingen, Lady Julian of Norwich and Brighid, Celtic goddess and Christian saint. |

'Improvisation is the accumulated yearnings, dreams and wisdom of the soul..' Yehudi Menuhin
We will enter into a space of peace with the music of the harp and the spoken word - to experience the ancient art of the Celtic bards. Resting in gentle, improvised harp sound, we will experience the power of sound, to help us connect with the wisdom of the land and of our own hearts, touching the world of Celtic spirituality. We will join together with harps, voices and perhaps other instruments too - sacred drum perhaps, or other stringed instruments. Together, we will weave a 'sound prayer' for peace in our lives, and in the world. We will connect with the music and words of our souls, through intuitive improvisation. |
